I Found This Mighty Entertaining

This week's "Veronica Mars" had a nice re-enactment (of sorts) of part of Brett's execution scene from Pulp Fiction. I just thought it was fun, is all. Ride the space elevator and enjoy the clips:

For some reason your comment isn't showing up; I guess MT comments can't handle embedded YouTube videos. But I do like the video you posted, of the Sam Jackson speech done in that awesome animated typography.

This is the link, for anyone else who's interested:

Remember the Big Lebowski tribute episode when Keith goes to question whatsherface's wheelchair-bound husband? I'm not sure if that's the episode when Veronica says, "Careful, there's a beverage here!" or not, but the BL quotes seem to be a running gag. Anyway, if any television show can pull off hilarious movie nods such as these, it's definitely the every sassy VMars.

My friend is watching the show from the very beginning and it's oddly nostalgic for me to listen to her question the feasibility of Logan & Veronica's first kiss and Ronnie's subsequent dumping of adorable, marble-mouthed Leo. I'm glad the soap opera factor has died down some and the snark is still on par but the mysteries per episode are starting to get really really tiresome.

Man, I still remember that great crane shot when Veronica and Logan kissed for the first time, while Jonathan Taylor Thomas sat inside and tried not to look 45. I think they actually played the soap stuff pretty well, up until Veronica and Logan broke up like 19 times this season. That was pushing it.

Yeah, there have been quite a few Lebowski tie-ins, as well as what appear to be at least two direct nods to Wes Anderson, one for Bottle Rocket and one for Rushmore.
