I Still Miss Billy

bsgtest1.jpg

Over at Pajiba, I take my third and final turn in our group look at the best 20 seasons of TV in the past 20 years with another modern classic, the first season of "Battlestar Galactica."

I still think Season 3 beats out Season 1 - for spoilers sake I won't go into detail, but Adama's face at the end of Maelstrom, the webisodes leading up to the the season, everything in Occupation/Precipice/Exodus, and then the chilling climax of Crossroads - that's where it's at.

I do love me some "Crossroads," and the rescue sequence where Galactica jumps into New Caprica atmo, launches Vipers, and jumps away is still among the greatest things I've ever seen. But Season 3 also has "The Woman King," which is a prime example of pure crap filler. Season 1 was all killer. I gots to show my love.

Though "Unfinished Business" knocked me on my ass.

I'll go with Season One, too. I'm sure a part of my own hairline retreat is due to the stress of 33.

I miss Billy, too, but how could he compete with Lee Adama? He probably made the right choice. Oh, D. Look what you did.
